This visitors guide will help answer questions you may have prior to your visit at the Florence Civic Center.

Please Note: Policies are subject to change per event needs without notice.

A

Admissions

All guests entering the Arena must have a valid event ticket to gain admission. *For many events children under two years of age may enter Florence Civic Center free of charge, providing that he/she sits on the lap of a parent or guardian. Florence Civic Center recommends that guests with children under the age of two (2) years old bring proof of the infants’ age with them to expedite entry. Valid forms of identification are a government-issued birth certificate or passport. Guests 2 years of age and older must have a ticket to enter the Arena. Re-Entry to the Arena is prohibited.  *applicable only on select events, please call to confirm

Walk-through metal detectors and/or hand-held security wands may be utilized during entry at ticketed shows and select events.  Purse and bag size restrictions are in force, see “Prohibited Items” section.

Advanced Tickets

To purchase tickets (if available) for upcoming events at the Florence Civic Center, please visit the Ticket Office located outside the NE face of the Florence Civic Center (next to Gate 2) or contact them by phone at 843.679.4525. You may also contact Ticketmaster by phone at 1.800.745.3000 or online at ticketmaster.com.

Alcohol Beverage Policy

No alcohol (including nonalcoholic beer and wine) or illegal drugs may be brought into the Florence Civic Center. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased by persons aged 21 or older once inside the arena. No more than 2 alcoholic beverages will be sold to any one person at a time. All alcohol sales can be terminated at any time at the discretion of Florence Civic Center management, and all alcohol sales can and will require the buyer to provide legal identification.

The termination of alcohol sales will be determined on an event-by-event basis, by the Senior Management of the Florence Civic Center.

Animals

Animals are not permitted in the Florence Civic Center, with the exception of trained service animals. If you have any further questions regarding this, please contact Guest Services at the Florence Civic Center at 843.679.9417.

Announcements

The PA announcer will not make private announcements and/or pages during events held at the Florence Civic Center. Please designate a meeting location should your party become separated.

Audio Recording

Audio recording devices are not permitted inside the Florence Civic Center.

Automated Teller Machine (ATM)

For your convenience, the Florence Civic Center has two First Reliance ATMs located on the interior of the building. There is one ATM on each level.

Automobile Assistance

The Florence Civic Center, although not responsible for damage or theft, will provide security in its parking lots during events. Jump-start assistance is available upon request to any parking attendant or security personnel.

Baby Changing Stations

Baby changing stations are located in all men’s and women’s restrooms throughout the Arena.

Bag/Purse Policy

The Florence Civic Center requests that guests arrive early and travel light, as all guests and bags entering the Florence Civic Center are subject to search. Only fanny packs, purses, or small clear plastic bags will be permitted into the Arena.  No bags larger than 13" x 15" x 6" allowed.

Walk-through metal detectors and/or hand-held security wands may be utilized during entry at ticketed shows and select events.

Banners/Signs

Banners and signs are allowed at the Florence Civic Center; however, they must be constructed of flame-retardant material and may not contain poles, sticks or pipes, and may not be displayed during play due to sight restrictions (if at a game or sporting event). Banners should not be hung anywhere at the FCC by anyone other than those given written authorizations to do so by the FCC. Banners or signs may not be placed on the court, be commercial in nature or obscene, or cause any disturbance to other fans. Banners and signs must be hand held and may not obstruct the view of other guests or Florence Civic Center permanent signage or exit signs, or be temporarily or permanently affixed to the building structure. The Florence Civic Center reserves the right to remove ANY banner or sign without exception. Patrons must return any unwanted banners to their vehicle, if permission is not granted. All banners should be removed at the end of the event. The Florence Civic Center reserves the right to allow or not allow banners into the building.

Broken Seat

While still at the event, please write down the seat location and/or communicate this information to an usher or Guest Relations representative in the lower lobby, located near the administrative offices. To submit this information after an event, please call the Florence Civic Center during normal business hours at 843.679.9417.

C

Camera and Video Policy

All policies are event specific, so please call 843.679.9417 to verify prior to coming to the event. No professional camera equipment may be brought in for any Florence Civic Center event. Video cameras are not allowed in the Arena. No flash photography, audio recording or video recording of any kind is permitted. No camera stands, tripods, monopods, or selfie sticks allowed. The Florence Civic Center is not liable for any damage to cameras brought into the Florence Civic Center. The use of “non-professional” still cameras without flash during concerts and other events hosted at the Florence Civic Center Arena will be determined on an event-by-event basis.

Camper and RV Overnight Parking

Overnight parking is not permitted at the Florence Civic Center without prior authorization. Call (843) 679-9417 to inquire.

Cancellation and Postponed Events

In the rare occasion that an event at the Florence Civic Center is postponed or cancelled, please visit the Florence Civic Center website at www.florenceciviccenter.com or call 843.679.4525 for information updates specific to the event for which you have tickets. In most cases, refunds will be available at the original point of purchase.

Check-In Services

Check-in services for prohibited items, such as: noisemakers, outside food & beverage, coolers, bottles, cans, containers, weapons of any kind, laser pointers and illegal drugs are not available. Such prohibited items must be returned to the Guest’s vehicle, disposed of, or checked in at an off-site location.

Child Admission Policy

For select events* children under 2 years of age may enter the Arena free of charge, providing that he/she sits on the lap of a parent or guardian. Children 2 and older must have a ticket to enter the Arena. Florence Civic Center recommends that guests with children under the age of two (2) years old bring proof of the infants’ age with them to expedite entry. The Florence Civic Center retains the right to require all attendees, regardless of age, to present a ticket for entry into the building. Climate Control

The Florence Civic Center maintains certain temperatures during all events. These temperatures are determined on an event-by-event basis. For more information, please visit our Guest Relations Lobby or call 843.679.9417.

Concessions

SAVOR… by SMG manages all concessions throughout the Florence Civic Center. Our concession stands offer a variety of food and beverages. Major credit cards are accepted. There are permanent food and beverage stands throughout the Center on the upper concourse, with additional “portable” locations that may be set up for select events on the lower level. Mellow Mushroom pizzeria has a concession location on the upper concourse near section 312.

Coolers / Containers

For the safety of our guests, all outside food, beverages, coolers, bottles, cans, ice chests, thermoses or containers of any kind are prohibited and may not be brought into the Florence Civic Center. Possession of these items may be grounds for ejection from the Arena. Items for children such as baby bottles, formula, etc., will be allowed.

Courtesy Wheelchairs

Courtesy wheelchairs may be available at select events upon request for short-term use. If you need assistance getting to or from your seat, please request a wheelchair from the nearest facility staff/usher. It is recommended to call ahead and confirm wheelchair availability prior to arriving. Courtesy wheelchairs will be returned immediately after assistance to accommodate other patrons in need.

Credit Cards

Visa, American Express, Discover and MasterCard are accepted at the merchandise stands, concession stands and at the Arena Ticket Office.

D

Doors Open

For most events at the Florence Civic Center, doors will usually open to the general public either 1 hour (60 minutes) or 1.5 hours (90 minutes) before the event start time. This varies by event. For information, please call the Florence Civic Center at 843.679.9417. No person will be allowed into the building before the doors open.

E

Ejection/Guest Removal

The Florence Civic Center reserves the right to eject guests whose behavior is against policy, unruly and/or illegal. Uniformed police officers are always on site and will escort any unruly patrons out of the building and off the premises.

Elevators

There is one elevator located in the Florence Civic Center. It is located near the lower lobby and upstairs on the outer concourse near section 320. The elevator is for priority use of disabled guest. All other guests should use the stairwells when possible.

Emergencies/Evacuations

In the event of an emergency, all Florence Civic Center personnel have been trained and instructed to assist you in evacuating the premises. Appropriate emergency strobe lights and voice enunciators are located throughout the building, as well as in all public restrooms. Please always remain calm and follow the instructions from Florence Civic Center staff members.

Emergency Phone Calls

Callers should dial the Florence Civic Center at 843.679.9417 and explain their emergency to the staff. Every effort will be made to locate the required guest. Depending upon the event, a Public Address announcement may not be available.

Emergency Medical Services / EMT

The Emergency Aid Station is located at Section 311 and is manned by City of Florence EMS staff during events. In the event of an emergency, please notify any Florence Civic Center representative or uniformed police officer in your vicinity in order to ensure that appropriate emergency personnel are notified and dispatched.

Executive Offices

The Executive Offices are located at 3300 W. Radio Road, Florence, SC 29501. Standard office hours of operations are Monday through Friday; 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Contact the front desk at 843.679.9417 to arrange an appointment.

F

First Aid

The First Aid Station is located at Section 311 and is manned by City of Florence EMS staff during events. In the event of an emergency, please notify any Florence Civic Center representative or uniformed police officer in your vacinity in order to ensure that appropriate emergency personnel are notified and dispatched.

G

Group Tickets

The Florence Civic Center Box Office is able to give a reduced ticket price to groups of 20 or more to certain events. Please contact the Box Office at 843.679.4525 for more information. Group tickets are a great way to coordinate the perfect outing for your group of friends, club members or co-workers.

Guest Conduct

The Florence Civic Center is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable entertainment experience. All event guests have a right to expect an environment where:

  • Guests will be treated in a consistent, professional and courteous manner by all arena personnel.
  • Guests will enjoy the event free from disruptive behavior, including foul or abusive language or obscene gestures.
  • Guests will consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner. Intervention with an impaired, intoxicated or underage guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner.
  • Guests will sit only in their ticketed seats and show their tickets when requested.
  • Guests who engage in fighting, throwing objects or attempting to enter the staged area will be immediately ejected from the arena.
  • Guests will smoke in designated smoking areas only.
  • There will not be any obscene or indecent messages on signs or clothing.
  • Guests will comply with requests from arena staff regarding arena operations and emergency response procedures.
  • Guests attempting to sell tickets on the Florence Civic Center property without permission will be asked to leave.
  • Guests attempting to interfere with the progress of any event at Florence Civic Center will be ejected and subject to arrest.
  • Guests will also be responsible for their own good time by reporting inappropriate behavior.

The Florence Civic Center staff has been trained to intervene where necessary to help ensure that the above expectations are met, and guests are encouraged to report any inappropriate behavior to the nearest usher, security guard or guest services staff member. Guests who choose not to adhere to these provisions will be subject to ejection without refund, and may also be in violation of city ordinances resulting in possible arrest and prosecution.

Guest Relations

Our Guest Relations staff is ready to help with any questions you may have about the services and amenities within the Florence Civic Center. You can find our staff in the lower lobby near the administrative offices. You can reach the Guest Relations by calling 843.679.9417. If you contact this department during business hours and reach a recording, please leave a message, as all of our representatives are assisting other patrons. Your phone call will be returned within 24-48 hours.

Guest Services

Guest Services is located in the lower lobby near the administrative offices. Guests that have comments, questions or concerns during an event at the Florence Civic Center are strongly encouraged to visit Guest Services prior to exiting the facility. If an incident occurs while visiting the Florence Civic Center, please speak with a member of the Arena team or visit Guest Services at the time the incident occurs.

L

Lost and Found

Guests who have lost an item during an event should contact the nearest Florence Civic Center staff member for assistance. Found items may be turned in to the Guest Services desk found in the lower lobby near the administrative offices. On non-event days, please call the Florence Civic Center at 843.679.9417. Items will be held for 30 days. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity. The Florence Civic Center is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Lost Children/Parents

Children should be told to contact the nearest Florence Civic Center staff member or uniformed Police Officer should they become lost. Lost children will be taken to the Guest Services desk located in the lower lobby near the administrative offices. Lost parents looking for a found child should go to that location as well.

Lost, Stolen or Destroyed Tickets

Lost or stolen tickets prior to an event may be replaced by contacting the Arena Ticket Office. Only the account holder may request and receive replacement tickets. A deposit equal to the face value of the lost or stolen ticket(s) may be charged and refunded upon presentation of the original unused ticket. The ticket office reserves the right not to replace lost or stolen tickets.

M

Media Credentials

The promoter must approve media credentials for concerts and special events, at least one (1) week prior to the event date. To request a media credential, please submit a formal request via the Contact Us page. Consideration will only be given to requests made by accredited members of the media.

Merchandise

Merchandise sales, , location, items and costs will depend on the specific concert/event in question. Merchandizing is generally handled by the event, not the facility. The Florence Civic Center is not responsible for damaged merchandise, returns of refunds.

O

Outside Vending

The selling or sampling of merchandise, food, beverages, or other items on the property without written Florence Civic Center authorization is strictly prohibited. The Florence Civic Center does not permit outside vending, soliciting or collecting contributions for any purpose whatsoever or the distribution of handbills on the premises unless FCC management has authorized such activity.

P

Parking

The Florence Civic Center features approximately 2,500 parking spaces on its property (1,300 in the lower parking lot and 1,200 in the upper parking lot), including ample parking for patrons with disabilities. Parking is free for every event at the Florence Civic Center. For directions, please visit Facility Directions

Pay Phones

There are no available pay phones on site. Phone calls from the administrative office are available for emergency purposes only.

Prohibited Items

For the safety of our guests, the Florence Civic Center does not permit the following items during events. Prohibited Items:

  • Bags, backpacks, briefcases, duffle bags larger than 13" x 15" x 6"
  • Banners
  • Bottles, cans, and coolers
  • Cameras (no professional cameras or video/audio recording devices)
  • Camera stands, monopods, tripods, selfie sticks
  • Computers
  • Concealed weapons or weapons of any kind
  • Containers of any kind
  • Fireworks
  • Glass
  • Illegal substances of any kind
  • Laptops
  • Large/Oversized Bags
  • Laser pointers or noisemakers
  • Outside Food and Beverages
  • Tablet computers – larger than 9.56 inches (243 mm) (H) x 7.47 inches (190 mm) (W) X 0.34 inches (8.8 mm) (D)
  • Video or audio recording devices
  • Whistles, horns, or other noise makers

Management reserves the right to amend the above policy without notice depending on individual event restrictions. In addition, Management reserves the right to restrict any article not specifically listed above.

Projectiles/Throwing Objects

Projectiles can cause serious injury. For the safety of all our guests, guests must refrain from throwing objects inside or outside of the Arena. The Florence Civic Center reserves the right to eject any person who is caught breaking this policy.

R

Re-Entry

Re-entry is prohibited. Guests will not be permitted to leave an event and re-enter the same event. There are only a few exceptions to this policy so please ask a Florence Civic Center Team member before exiting an event.

Restrooms

There are restrooms located throughout the Florence Civic Center for your convenience, located on all levels. All restrooms meet or exceed ADA specifications and are wheelchair accessible. Baby changing tables are available.

Safety Habits

  • Leave your seat location information with someone at home in case they need to contact you.
  • Locate your TWO nearest exits in case one of them is obstructed upon exit.
  • Establish an outside meeting point for the members of your party in case you are separated from each other.
  • Wear something bright or recognizable in case you are separated from your party.
  • If you have a planned party that includes gifts, please leave the gifts unwrapped until they have been inspected or place the unwrapped gift in a gift bag.

Security/Crowd Management

The Florence Civic Center wants to ensure that patrons have a fun and safe experience at the arena. If you have any concerns or questions, visit your nearest Florence Civic Center staff member. The Florence Civic Center staff and Florence Police Department will provide security for all events, patrons, and performers. For most events, there is a no re-entry (i.e., in-and-out) policy in effect at the Florence Civic Center.

Service Animals

Although animals are not allowed in the Florence Civic Center, an exception is made regarding service animals for guests with disabilities. Service animals providing service for a guest with a disability or certified service animals in training are welcome at Florence Civic Center. All other animals are prohibited unless specified by management.

Services for Patrons with Disabilities

The Florence Civic Center is committed to providing every customer with a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Accessibility for our guests with disabilities is a high priority. Please direct any questions regarding accessibility to our Guest Services at 843.679.9417. Elevators are available for the mobility-impaired.

Typically there is an Accessible drop-off located in the lower lever parking area near the lobby doors of Florence Civic Center. Please call Guest Relations at 843.679.9417 to confirm that this is the best option for dropping off guests with disabilities for your event.

  • Facility Features: All restrooms, smoking areas, telephones, ATMs and concession stands at the Florence Civic Center are accessible.
  • Parking: The Florence Civic Center has 75 handicapped parking spaces. Parking for disabled guests is available on a first come, first serve basis in the lower and upper parking lots
  • Customer Service: The Florence Civic Center staff is ready to help with any questions you may have about access to and within the facility. While attending events at the Florence Civic Center, please contact a member of our staff or visit Guest Relations located in the lower lobby near the administrative offices.
  • Disabled and Accessible Seating is available on our concourse level based on availability. Companion seats are available for purchase with each disabled seat purchased. When purchasing your tickets please make sure to mention any concerns you may have. The Florence Civic Center will attempt to reasonably accommodate any concern with regard to guests with disabilities.
  • Wheelchair/companion fraud includes, but is not limited to, misrepresentation of a disability for the purpose of obtaining wheelchair/companion seating. The Florence Civic Center reserves the right to take appropriate action up to and including relocation, or ejection for wheelchair/ companion ticket fraud. 

Smoking Policy

The Florence Civic Center is a smoke-free facility (including electronic/vape) with its designated smoking area located outside sections 317 and 318 on the upper concourse. Please contact a Florence Civic Center employee if you require help to find the designated smoking area. Guests who exit the building at any doors other than the doors at the smoking section will not be permitted to re-enter the building. To re-enter through the smoking section please have your ticket stubs present and ready. Smoking is prohibited in any other area of the Florence Civic Center. Guests who fail to comply with the Florence Civic Center’s smoking policy will be asked to cease smoking and to move to a designated smoking area. Those continuing to violate the policy will be ejected from the facility.

Strollers

Strollers are allowed in the Florence Civic Center however there is no area to store strollers and they may need to be carried down stairs. The Florence Civic Center is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged strollers.

Suites/Skybox Seating

A valid Skybox Suite ticket is required for entrance to the suites. There are stairwells that lead up to each suite for convenience. The Florence Civic Center offers two (2) suites with handicapped accessibility via elevator. For additional information regarding suites, please visit the Suites page.

Telephones

The Florence Civic Center has no pay phones but a patron may use the Guest Services phone found next to the lower lobby near the administrative offices for emergencies only. Cell phones are allowed inside the facility.

Ticket Information

If you are interested in purchasing tickets to a Florence Civic Center event, you can do so at the Florence Civic Center Box Office located outside of Gate 2. You may also purchase through Ticketmaster retail outlets, Ticketmaster hotline 800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Ticketmaster is the only authorized ticket-selling agent for the Florence Civic Center. The Florence Civic Center cannot be responsible for the authenticity of tickets obtained through any other sources. The Florence Civic Center will not honor counterfeit, duplicate and other invalid tickets.

The Box Office hours are Monday-Friday from 10:00am-5:30pm and Saturday from 10:00am-2:00pm. For information on upcoming events and ticket prices call the Box Office at 843.679.4525.

Your ticket stub is not only proof that you possess a valid ticket for the event in which you are attending. Your ticket designates your correct seat location within the Florence Civic Center. Staff members can use your ticket to assist you in locating your party in the event you become separated. Arena personnel may request to see your ticket at any time during the event. 

Ticket Scams

Ticketmaster is the only authorized ticket-selling agent for the Florence Civic Center. The Florence Civic Center cannot be responsible for the authenticity of tickets obtained through any other sources. The Florence Civic Center will not honor counterfeit, duplicate and other invalid tickets.

U

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are allowed in the arena, but must remain closed. Umbrella bags may be placed at certain entrances and also available at Guest Services which is located next to the lower lobby near the administrative offices.

Video Recorders

Video recorders are prohibited in the Florence Civic Center unless otherwise posted. Anyone caught videotaping a Florence Civic Center event will have their video recorder confiscated by an usher or security immediately. The recorder will be taken to the Guest Services Office located next to the lower lobby near the administrative offices. The camera can be picked up at the end of the event. The Florence Civic Center is not liable for any damage to video recorders brought into the Florence Civic Center. Guests may be asked to erase any event footage that has been recorded.

W

Water Fountains

Water fountains are located throughout the upper level concourse and lower level lobby area. Water fountains may be disabled during select events per management.

Wheelchairs

Courtesy wheelchairs may be available at select events upon request for short-term use. If you need assistance getting to or from your seat, please request a wheelchair from the nearest facility staff/usher. It is recommended to call ahead and confirm wheelchair availability prior to arriving. Courtesy wheelchairs will be returned immediately after assistance to accommodate other patrons in need.

Will Call

The ticketing Will Call window is located at the Ticket Office near gate 2. Will Call is a service to hold your purchased tickets until collected at your convenience. Tickets purchased via Ticketmaster can be left at Will Call, but must be acquired no later than one (1) hour prior to the event time. Will Call is only available during standard box office hours or up to the event start time on performance dates.

If you are instructed by an arena employee, promoter or premium guest to pick up tickets from Will Call, please confirm with the Ticket Office as to when and how to pick-up before arriving at the Ticket Office window.

When picking tickets up from Will Call please have your photo ID ready. Approved I.D. is required for all tickets held in Will Call.
