The Florence Civic Center is the perfect site for a wide variety of events. To help with your visit, here are a few answers to some of our most common venue questions.

Which hotel is nearest to the venue?

The Courtyard by Marriott neighbors the Civic Center parking lot and is the closest hotel. However, the Spring Hill Suites, Residence Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, Home2 Suites by Hilton, TownePlace Suites, and Holiday Inn Express are all within walking distance.

Is there a charge for parking?

No. The Florence Civic Center offers free parking for every event.

I purchased my event tickets in advance. Where do I pick-up my tickets?

When purchasing tickets online or by phone in advance, one option is to hold the tickets at Will Call to pick-up at your convenience. The ticketing Will Call window is located at the venue Box Office near gate #2. Tickets must be acquired no later than one (1) hour prior to the event time. Will Call is only available during standard box office hours or up to the event start time on performance dates.

Can I bring my bag/purse inside?

The Florence Civic Center requests that guests arrive early and travel light, as all guests and bags entering the Florence Civic Center are subject to search. Only fanny packs, purses, or small clear plastic bags will be permitted into the Arena.  No bags larger than 13" x 15" x 6" allowed.

How far is the Florence Regional Airport (FLO) from the Florence Civic Center?

The airport is only 7 miles and approximately 14 minutes from the Civic Center.

Other than room rental, what other charges should I budget for when I am planning my event?

This depends on the nature and size of your event, but some costs that our clients may incur are: labor, utilities, equipment rental, security, staging and catering. Please contact us to discuss your event in detail, and we would be happy to put together a total cost estimate.

Do you offer on-site catering?

Can I hire someone outside the venue to cater my event?

Does the Florence Center require that I carry insurance for my event?

Yes. Your coverage must be for at least $1,000,000, and your insurance should name the Florence Civic Center/SMG as additionally insured. It is also important to check that the event dates fall within the policy dates, and the insurance policy is covered within the State of South Carolina.

Who owns the Florence Civic Center?

The venue is owned as a joint venture by the City of Florence and County of Florence. The venue is managed by SMG, worldwide entertainment and convention venue management.

Do my property taxes pay for the Florence Civic Center?

 No. The Florence Civic Center is not included on your local personal taxation. The venue receives from two sources. The Accommodations Fees aid (example: hotel stays) from out of town guests and Hospitality Fee from local restaurants.
