The Harlem Globetrotters return to Florence on their 2017 World Tour!

The Globetrotters recently wrapped a busy 90th year tour, during which they named Pope Francis the ninth Honorary Harlem Globetrotter in team history, walked the runway at New York Fashion week, launched the Great Assist initiative alongside Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts – whom the team named also named an honorary Harlem Globetrotter – pledging to spread 100 million smiles over the next 10 years, broke seven Guinness World Records® and remixed the team’s legendary theme song, “Sweet Georgia Brown,” with the help of Grammy Award-winning producer/songwriter Teddy Riley.

During their 2017 World Tour, the famed team will feature a star-studded roster that includes Big Easy Lofton, Ant Atkinson, Hi-Lite Bruton, Thunder Law, Bull Bullard and Cheese Chisholm – plus female stars TNT Lister and Ace Jackson*– the Globetrotters’ one-of-a-kind show is unrivaled in the world of family entertainment. Senior Life Expo

The 22nd Annual 50+ Senior Life Expo is all set for Friday and Saturday, April 7th & 8th at the Florence Civic Center. One of the largest shows in the state for senior citizens, baby boomers and retirees, the Expo will feature 45,000 square feet of exhibit space plus free entertainment, demonstrations, seminars, bingo, food, fun and prizes. Attendees at this year’s event can expect wider aisles, spacious seating and more booths and exhibits to visit.

The 50+ Senior Life Expo is the premier, senior retirement event of the year for the Pee Dee area. The Expo focuses on informing, educating and entertaining people 55 and older who are approaching their retirement years or are already retired.

Attendees at the Expo can browse among the many exhibits, register for prizes, sample Eggland’s Best omelets and discover new ideas for making retirement life healthier and more rewarding. Representatives and professionals in the fields of banking, healthcare, investments and estate planning, long-term care, insurance, senior housing, assisted living, home security, home-health services, pre-need planning, hospice and elder law will be on hand to offer guidance and answer questions for retirees, caregivers and those planning their retirement. Staff from Carolinas Hospital System will offer free health checks, medical advice and conduct informative question and answer sessions and seminars. Attendees can also hear presentations and ask questions to physicians, investment counselors and attorneys.

Entertainment for the Expo will feature Clay Brown singing Motown hits from the 60s, the Leatherman Line Dancers, Dandy Don the Singing Cowboy, the Palmetto Shakers and other talented performers and entertainers. Allyson Floyd of WPDE-TV News Channel 15 will be back to host the event.

Hours: Friday 9AM-3PM and Saturday 9AM-2PM.
Admission is $2.00.

The 50+ Senior Life Expo is presented by Carolinas Hospital System and Golden Life. The Expo is sponsored by Carolina Centers for Sight, the Senior Citizens Association, KJ’s IGA and WPDE-TV News Channel 15.
