General Florence Civic Center/SMG Policies
Bottles, cans, coolers, fireworks, food and recording devices are
not permitted at the Florence Civic Center. It is the discretion
of the show whether or not video cameras or still cameras are allowed
for events. Video cameras are almost never allowed, where still
cameras are. Signs will be posted and event staff will be notified
before doors open regarding this policy. While many of these items
will be confiscated at the main entrance; FCC staff will be alert
to those items being brought into the facilities. Management expects
all representatives of the Safety/Security department to either
confiscate or eject those patrons in violation of these policies.
If patrons are already inside the facility, the items must be confiscated,
discarded or returned to his/her vehicle. All confiscated items
will be sent to the security office and held for pick-up for 30
days. After 30 days, the Florence Civic Center will discard all
items.
Banners
Banners may not be hung anywhere in the facility by anyone other
than that given written authorization to do so by Florence Civic
Center. Patrons must return any unwanted banners to their vehicle.
Child’s
Admission Policy
Everyone, 2 years and older, attending events must have a ticket.
Some family shows will differ. Please check with the Florence Civic
Center Box Office at 843-679-4525 before purchasing tickets.
Illegal
Vending
SMG will not permit vending, soliciting, collecting contributions
for any purpose whatsoever or distributing of handbills on the premises
unless FCC management has authorized such activity.
Knives
Patrons in possession of knives or wearing decorative handcuffs
or spiked wristbands must return the items to their vehicles, or
if inside the building, check these items in with a Security officer
in the lobby.
Laser
Pointers
Any patron seen using a laser pointer will be escorted out of an
event with no refund.
Credentials
The Backstage Passes, Official Press Photographers are non-transferable
and the badge holder is only allowed in those locations and times
indicated on the credentials.
Use
of Firearms Prohibited
Firearms are not permitted on the grounds of the FCC except those
held by uniformed law enforcement officials working the event. Any
off-duty officer not authorized by the FCC management official must
leave their firearms in their vehicle.
Limitation on use of the Facility
No person shall enter or remain on the grounds of the facility unless
that person is a patron, business invitee, licensee or employee
of the FCC.
Hitchhiking,
Skateboarding, Loitering and Soliciting Prohibited
The soliciting of rides, skateboarding, loitering, selling of goods
and the soliciting of funds or services in any area of the facility,
parking lot and/or grounds is prohibited.
Unauthorized
Vending and Distributing Prohibited
Except as authorized by the General Manager or Department Head,
no person shall enter or remain on the premises of the facility
for the purpose of selling, offering to sell, leasing or distributing
any goods, merchandise, literature or services.
Underage
Drinking, Alcohol Bottles and Can Possession
All patrons in the building, who are identified as being under the
age of 21 and in possession of alcohol, will be taken to the Security
office, ejected, and their parents will be notified for proper advisement.
When necessary, they may be turned over to the Florence Police Department.
All persons who are drinking alcohol and appear to be under the
legal drinking age but cannot produce proper identification will
be processed as above. All persons identified as the person(s) supplying
underage drinkers with alcohol will be processed as above. All persons
21 and over that are found at the facility with alcohol in bottles
or cans in their possession will be taken to the Security Office.
Arena
Admission to Facility, Anti-Scalping Policies/Procedures
No person, including minors, shall be admitted to any event in the
Arena without holding a valid ticket to the event. Selling tickets
in excess of face value, scalping, is illegal in the state of South
Carolina. Anyone with information on scalping should report it to
appropriate arena personnel.
No
persons, including minors, shall be permitted to events at the arena
or additional projects at the complex unless properly attired. Florence
Civic Center reserves the right to determine proper attire for events
at the complex. Unless authorized, no person shall be admitted into
the facility of the complex with any of the following items in his
possession:
1.
Alcoholic beverages or controlled substances (unless prescribed
for the possessor)
2. No cameras, audio or visual recording equipment, radios, televisions
or any other such electronic devices, except when authorized.
3. Pets
4. Bottles, either plastic or glass
5. Shopping carts
6. Cans or coolers
7. Fireworks
8. Weapons and dangerous devices of any type
Unless
authorized by Florence Civic Center, the carrying of food &
beverages into the facility of the complex is prohibited.
No
person shall bring any object into the arena with intent to use
or which may be used as a weapon or projectile.
Smoking
Florence Civic Center is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is not allowed
in public areas of the facility by any patron or employee. There
are however, four designated smoking areas outside the facility.
Anyone
observed smoking inside the facility shall be asked to extinguish
the item immediately. Any person who refuses to comply with the
policy shall be subject to ejection from the facility.
Emergency
Evacuation
In the event of an emergency, the Florence Civic Center staff have
been instructed and trained to assist you in evacuation the premises.
Gratuities
No patron shall make, give, offer or promise, directly or indirectly,
either in his/her own behalf or on behalf of another, in cash or
in kind payment to any employee in excess of the amount charged
and posted for the parking, admission, security/safety or other
services provided by the facility.
Visitors
with Service Animals
Trained guide dogs or service animals assisting visitors with disabilities
are permitted inside Florence Civic Center
Defacement
of the Facility and/or Grounds
No person shall be allowed to cut, mutilate, or remove any trees,
shrubs, flowers, plants, top soil or sod unless authorized by the
General Manager. Injury, defacement, removal or destruction of the
surface of the facility or its structures, recreational facilities
or property is prohibited.
