| Since opening in 1993, the Florence Civic Center has emerged as the leading facility in northeast South Carolina for entertainment, conventions and civic events. The Center hosts exciting concerts, family shows, ice shows, circuses and sporting events throughout the year. From Disney On Ice to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, to Monster Trucks and Bull Riding, to Professional Hockey, Indoor Football and College Basketball, there is something for everyone. The Center also hosts meeting and conventions of all sizes and has accommodated the SC Governor’s Rural Summit, the SC Association of School Librarians, the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and the AME Annual Christian Leadership Conference, to name just a few. The Florence area civic community also utilizes the Center for meeting, banquets, shows and exhibits such as the Florence Chamber’s “ShowBiz” and the Junior League of Florence’s “Merry Marketplace”. The building’s creative design accommodates events of all sizes and requirements. All facility space flows together under one roof and all rooms offer high speed internet access.
