The Florence Gospel Series Welcomes Top Southern Gospel Trio The Martins on March 19

Grammy nominated Southern Gospel trio, The Martins, are headlining the second concert event in the recently announced Florence Gospel Series at the Uptown Ballroom at the Florence Civic Center, on Thursday, March 19th.  Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 12th at 10am.

Siblings, Joyce, Jonathan and Judy, collectively known as The Martins, have enjoyed countless radio hits and performances at concert halls, arenas, auditoriums and churches worldwide. During the 1990s, The Martins rose to national and international success, showcasing their stunning and distinctive harmonies before a vast array of audiences, from legendary singer/ songwriter Bill Gaither’s multi-award winning Homecoming Video and Concert Series to the White House to Carnegie Hall. Over the years the Trio garnered eight Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association, as well as a prestigious Grammy nomination.

Also featured on the March 19th bill is the highly regarded Southern Gospel quartet Brian Free and Assurance.  For many years a key member of the beloved Gospel quartet Gold City, Brian Free with his group Assurance has gone on to make a major impact in the Southern Gospel genre.  Known as one of the finest southern gospel tenors of his generation, Brian has won accolades such as Favorite Male Singer, Favorite Tenor (eight times), Favorite album, and most recently won a Dove Award for southern gospel recorded song “Long as I got King Jesus.”
